With the new Death Knight class, most (if not all) guildees will have a DK, and a lot of people will think that tanking is a good way to go with it. I'm all for that, I love tanking, it's a lot of fun - but it's also a lot of pressure. As we've all seen a good tank can make the difference between an easy run or one that's fraught with wipe after wipe.
So if you want to start tanking with your DK please read the following things:
1. Get this tattooed on your forehead, written on your screen, and put on a giant sign so you'll never forget:
If the tank dies, it's the healer's fault
If the healer dies, it's the tank's fault
If the DPS dies, it's their own damn fault
2. Read this scenario - memorise it - it happens all the time to new tanks:
http://www.wowinsider.com/2008/10/07/ti ... nk-part-2/3. Live, breath, eat, sleep, tanking - don't just switch to your dps set when not running an instance - keep Omen up all the time, group with anyone you can - anything to eek every single TPS you can, learn your craft the whole time, your group is depending on you.
If you can do these things you will be a good tank on your way to being a great tank (that'll come with gear, talent builds and rebuilds, and experience) and I'll happily tank along side you any time - if not, best go dps with your dk.
